religion, science, toy weapons

Religion and science are always pitted together as enemies, as a sort of 'faith' vs. 'logic' kind of argument. It seems to me, however, that science also suffers from the same sort of truth-seeking faith: that is, at a meta-science and a meta-religion level, the same sort of illogic that propels science to define itself as a truth/falsehood dichotomy is the same sort of illogic that propels religion to be about faith.

In short: science is a religious belief in the dichotomy of true/false, a 'faith'ful adherence to the will to power, manifested in a certain way.

overheard walking down the street:

Kid: (gesturing towards a toy in the window of a toy store) Mom! Look!
Mom: You already have fourteen weapons! Why would you want another?
